Dementia Care

The journey of memory loss is challenging, both for the person who experiences it and their loved ones. Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia requires a focused team for the challenge. Dementia strips its victims of short-term memory, making familiar tasks difficult and causing difficulties with language. There can also be disorientation, problems with abstract thinking and changes in mood, behavior or personality.

Our team takes additional precaution to insure our residents from wandering off and the fear of injury. We engage and stimulate each resident with activities that are suited to their interests and skills.

Support Groups

We understand the toll that memory loss takes not only on our residents but on their families and friends as well. That’s why we work together as a team with our residents and their loves ones to provide care, understanding, and encouragement. As part of this team approach, we offer support groups that provide a safe place for loved ones to share their thoughts and experiences and hear from others who are on a similar journey.
